Rain tyres were still de rigueur for the KF Prefinal at Lonato. Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) kept control at the lights, but Felice Tiene (CRG / Parilla) took 2nd place, closely tailed by Mark Litchfield (CRG / Parilla) who beat Ben Barnicoat (BirelART / Parilla). There were constant attacks in the leading group, but Nielsen was not intimidated. Litchfield took 2nd ahead of Barnicoat. From Tiene was another to pass Barnicoat. Juan Correa (Energy / TM) led the chase in 5th position, while Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex) and Martijn Van Leeuwen (CRG / TM) fought. Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex) and Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) dropped sharply in the rankings.
Qualified via the Repechage, Archie Tillett (CRG / Parilla) and Rokas Bacisuka (Energy / TM) performed beautifully in 16th and 20th positions in mid-race. Litchfield managed to get the better of Nielsen on lap 8, while Barnicoat dropped to 20th place. Litchfield got away and won the race with the fastest time and with a lead of more than 4” ahead of Nielsen. Tiene defended 3rd place from Correa, Van Leeuwen finished 5th, Simone Cunati 6th, Marcus Armstrong (Tony Kart / Vortex) 7th and Lorenzo Travisanutto (PCR / TM) 8th.
